Clinical Counsellor (CACFT Associate, CCC Member)

Florence Fullerton is a registered Associate Member with the Canadian Association of Couple and Family Therapy and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) under the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She has a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and is working on her PhD in Clinical Psychology.

Florence's background is in addictions, grief, and trauma work. She has working experience with various cultures, and as a veteran she understands the challenges of multiple transitions. Her approach is compassionate and client-centered, integrating her qualifications in Somatic Experiencing (SEI based), Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Based Training, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

Florence works with individuals (both youth and adults), couples and families from all walks of life to discover their own unique path to wellness through a trauma-informed lens. Sometimes, clients come into counselling with experiences that have left them feeling helpless, powerless, or yearning for better ways to cope. Florence enjoys supporting clients in their journey of healing through a strength-based approach that helps clients grow their own insight, nurture their resiliency, and improve the relationships they have.
